Born in Pohang, South Korea, on August 2nd, 2007, I immigrated to America in 2011.
In 2011, I came to Dallas, Texas and after three years, I moved to Orlando, Florida. Then after 3 more years, I moved to Irvine, California in 2017. Since then, I resided in California. During this time I graduated elementary and middle school.
I attend Portola High School in Irvine, CA, and am part of the graduating class of 2025.
Some things I enjoy doing are hanging out with my friends, listening to and playing music, and learning about new cultures.
Following my father's completion of his bachelor's degree in pastoral studies, we moved to Florida in 2014. During this time, I discovered the different cultures around the US. Additionally, I grew up in a religious family, so I was constantly growing my faith in Christianity. I lived in Florida for two and a half years understanding the culture that surrounds it. Because my father had gotten a job offer in Irvine, California, we had to move. It wasn't easy leaving behind all my elementary friends, but I pulled through and moved on. I came to Irvine, California on February 17, 2016. Since then, I have lived in Irvine and continued my journey into high school.
My family is religious, so I participate in many church activities. I try my best to help out the older churchgoers who are struggling. I also led my church praise team and aided the church in setting up and managing VBS.
I founded the AIM Math Club to help middle and high school students receive a better math education and experience. I also led a small math project team to help the students who wanted real-world application of their math knowledge.
I was part of the school marching band, Pride of Portola, and Wind Ensemble for all four years of high school. With the experience from the bands, I gained the ability to play many different instruments and had the opportunity to teach new students about other instruments.
I volunteered for three consecutive years at a local Korean school and obtained 3 presidential awards.
Some of the instrument experience I have gained

French Horn /trombone

Over the summer of 2023, I had the opportunity to back to Korea for the first time in over 10 years.
I traveled around Korea, met old friends, and visited my relatives.
